As some of you will know we have been fans of Celtic Confusion for some time now and were a bit disappointed recently to hear that they had left Dreamers Bar in Los Cristianos.
Well we found out that Derek had gone back upstairs to the Irish Times and is playing there again but it was not until the last few days that we found out what Mark was up to … he is opening a bar with his father, Joe from Wexford.
The bar, formerly “Heroes”, is in CC El Chaperral in Costa del Silencio (next to Hiperdino) and will now be called the Lucky Leprechaun!
According to what I have managed to find out so far there will be live music every night with both Mark and his dad, Joe up on stage.
As you would expect from a great Irish Bar you will also be able to enjoy traditional homeade Irish food including bacon ‘n’ cabbage, Irish sausages ‘n’ champ, Irish stew, as well as toasties, burgers and homemade chips.
Of course there will be Guinness on draught, Magners (in bottles), Irish coffees, etc., and all major sports shown.
Mark and his Missus, Ziggy have been on the Island for around 9 years and to quote Ziggy, Mark is as ‘craiced as a crow‘.
As soon as we know the Opening Date we will let you know but in the meantime I am sure you will all join us in wishing the Lucky Leprechaun all the best for this exciting new venture.
Thanks for the news, Can’t wait for the opening.
